What is the Cinch Net®?

The Cinch Net® is a hay feeder designed to help control hay waste and slow hay consumption to a normal rate. The slowed consumption helps to keep your horses and other hooved animals healthier plus proven to cut hay waste from 57% to only 6.3%. 1

What are the benefits from using a Cinch Net®?
  • Slow consumption
  • Lessen food waste
  • Reduce boredom
  • Ease unwanted behaviors
  • Save time
  • $ave money

Where is the Cinch Net® made?

Our products are proudly made in Minnesota and are constructed from the highest grade DuPont® nylon fibers.

Why is the Cinch Net® netting black and knotted?

To make sure you get the longest usage out of your net, all Cinch Nets® are treated with a UV protectant. We use knotted netting as it is STRONGER and can be easily mended should any holes occur.

How long will my Cinch Net® last?

The netting is rated for 5+ years in outdoor weather elements.

Can animals chew through the Cinch Net®?

While this is possible, most animals quickly figure out that the objective is getting hay out of the Cinch Net® so they learn to drop the net while grazing from the hay bale. If a hole should occur, our nets are very easy to mend.

* We strongly recommend offering free choice hay along with your Cinch Net® until your animals have learned to graze from it.

How big are the holes in the Cinch Net®? 2

• Cinch Net® Original - 1 ¾” x 1 ¾”  Available in Large Bale, Small Bale, West Coast & Mini
• Cinch Net® SF (Slow Feed) - 1 ¼” x 1 ¼” Available in Small Bale & Mini*
• Cinch Net® SFX (Slow Feed Extreme) - 1” x 1” Available in Small Bale & Mini*
* Large Bale & West Coast available as custom order only.

My horse has shoes, can I still use a Cinch Net®?
Yes, but you will need to use the Cinch Net® with a traditional hay ring. The Cinch Chix® recommend Poly Ring Feeders from AGI Products or Covered Bale Feeders from West Wind Shelters. Note: When using the smaller nets with shod horses, make sure to hang it high enough so the horse cannot paw at it.
