Round Bale Feeder Trial at the University of Minnesota

The University of MN conducted a hay feeder study from July 8th to Aug 17th,
2010 comparing 9 round bale feeders from around the US against feeding a round bale alone. This study's focus was to find out how much hay was wasted with the various feeders.

Here are some fun facts...

~25 Adult horses, quarter horse and thoroughbreds averaging age 11 and split into 5 groups of 5

~Orchard grass hay was used with average nutritional content, 4X5 weighing 883 pounds

~Each herd spent 4 days on each feeder, a testament to the nets durability in transition to slow-feeding

~The waste was figured by raking up all waste on the ground daily, then dried to original moisture content, then weighed
~ The average waste on the stand alone round bale was  57%

So, how did we stack up???

~ The Cinch Net had only 6.3% waste when used alone!

~The amount of time it takes to recoup the cost of buying the cinch net in 3 weeks! Yes, less than a month!

~So, If you used no feeder at all you would waste $2,464 in hay vs only $287 a year with the Cinch Net

BOTTOM LINE:
How can you afford to feed hay without the Cinch Net???

Here's what Y'all are saying...

These are  from some of our satisfied repeat customers:
Kris,
Thank you so much for the e-mail.  I was going to contact you all today to see what
was up.  I picked up a couple of big rolls of hay this morning and my hay guy was
asking why I was picking up hay every other week instead of weekly so I told him
about your marvelous nets.  I'm saving about $200 a month on my hay bill.

Hi,   I just wanted to tell you how happy I am with your product. I have a mare who is a real glutton, and if she's not eating, she's wanting to try going through fences etc. to get anything that's growing on the other side. Even though we have an electric fence, she will  try and eat the weeds underneath the fence. She has foundered, and keeping her satisfied is really a challenge. With your product, I can put a bale in the feeder and let her eat all day long. She's happy because she's eating, and I'm happy because I know she's not going to be causing problems, and I can keep her weight down at the same time!!  Thanks for this wonderful product!!!
A very satisified customer.

Hi Kris

Here is a success update from me. I promote your nets a lot. My dear Michele and Joe are probably the happiest clients you can have. Their nets are already paid for just by using less hay!!! I love them too, the horses eat less and are busy but sometimes also frustrated. Some do not like the net! Well they are also the fat ones.  In general the horses are doing wonderful and it looks like a golf course in my field.

Please let me know about the string, thanks
